  • TK 8 Survey

    June 7, 2021

Dear Bedell and Glen City Parents,

In 2015, the Santa Paula Unified School District developed a Facilities Master Plan that identified Glen City as a transitional kindergarten through eighth grade (TK-8) Dual Language Immersion School. The school district Board of Trustees is also considering a transitional kindergarten through eighth grade configuration at Bedell Elementary, with a Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) focus, possibly beginning the 2022-23 school year.

If the Board of Trustees decides to convert one or both schools into transitional kindergarten through eighth grade schools, parents whose children attend Bedell or Glen City would have the option of sending their children to either Isbell Middle School or continue to attend their transitional through eighth grade school (Bedell or Glen City).  We believe giving parents a choice would be beneficial to families.

The district is seeking input from parents regarding the TK-8 concept.  Your input is important and we are interested in your thoughts regarding the school your child is attending and possibly being converted into a TK-8 school.  Please CLICK HERE  take answer a few questions and feel free to share any additional thoughts you may have (supports, programs, etc.) as district staff continue to explore the TK-8 concept at both schools.

School and classroom safety measures will be implemented in alignment with Ventura County Public Health (VCPH) guidelines.

Thank you for your interest in the Summer Bridge Academies. We have received approximately 800 registrations for students in Transitional Kindergarten through Seventh grade.
