Employment growth in the Family and Human Services pathway will likely be driven by an increasing demand for family assistance. Students learn employment and management skills, such as positive guidance, professional behavior and standards, and laws and regulations related to the field. Students also learn about nutrition, health, aging, and safety. Sample occupations associated with this pathway: Personal Care Assistant, Human Services Program Specialist, Social Outreach Director, Community Organizational Director. This is a four year program. Students apply to the Human Services Academy in spring of the eighth grade year.
In the senior year, students enroll in an off-campus college level or a career course.
