Michelle Kolbeck (2012-2016 and 2016-2020) served on the elementary school board from 1998 to 2013 and the unified board since 2013. She has served as Board President, Board Vice-President and Board Clerk. Michelle has served on the Joint Committee between the City and the District for several years. Michelle is a double graduate of the California School Board Association, Masters in Governance Program, which is an intensive board of trustees training program.
Michelle holds a bachelor's degree from Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa in mathematics and business/economics. She is married to Dr. Kevin Kolbeck. Along with their nine children, they have lived in Santa Paula since 1984 when her husband became a tutor at Thomas Aquinas College. All of their children have attended public schools in Santa Paula. Michelle first became involved in the schools as a parent at Bedell School in 1985. She served as President of the Bedell's parent group on and off for over fifteen years.

Michelle has been active in many youth sports programs in Santa Paula, including: Little League, softball, basketball, track, Cross Country, and volleyball. She is active in her parish in Confirmation and was the Youth Director from 2000-2006 which served local high school students.
