Rachel McDonald
    Three years ago, Mrs. McDonald joined Renaissance High School as the English Language Arts teacher. From the San Francisco Bay Area, Mrs. McDonald has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with concentrations in English and Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Education from Notre Dame de Namur University. She also has a second Master of Arts degree in English with a focus on Composition from San Francisco State University. She holds credentials to teach secondary English, post-secondary composition, and post-secondary reading. She has taught English and Special Education in a comprehensive high school setting as well as Composition in a university setting. Additionally, Mrs. McDonald is a mother to three children, and a lifelong learner dedicated to continuing her education. She is currently in the process of acquiring her Doctorate in Education from Johns Hopkins University. 
    At Renaissance, Ms. McDonald teaches English 9/10 and 11, Expository Reading and Writing (English 12), and Choices: College and Career Readiness. She offers to tutor twice a week from 3:30-5:00 pm and elective opportunities from Achieve3000.
